Famous Pacific Shipping (FPS), the fast-expanding Asia Pacific-based freight forwarder and NVOCC, has extended its network coverage in Central Europe with the appointment of Austromar Spol as the new general agent for Austria , the Czech Republic and Hungary.
Austromar, one of the leading freight consolidators in Central Europe, is headquartered in Vienna , has branch offices in Prague and Budapest , and will coordinate Famous Pacific Shipping's activities in these growing markets.
Commenting on the appointment, Alvin Tan, Chairman of the FPS Group's Executive Committee, said: “The Czech Republic and Hungary are now among the most stable and prosperous of the post-Communist states. Economic growth in all three countries has been stimulated by each country's recent accession to EU membership, with export and import levels increasing significantly.
“Through our new general agent, members of the Famous Pacific Shipping group around the world will be in a position to offer expert advice to help importers and exporters trading with any of the three countries.”
